14Jun_standard_theme As the old saying goes, you can pick your friends, and you can pick your … ok never mind!

In the New Testament we discover that after Jesus went back to heaven, the church really started to grow. The church was no longer just a handful of disciples. These were growing congregations filled with people from all walks of life. And needless to say, they didn’t always get along. They disagreed and argued. They had a hard time forgiving and serving each other. Sound familiar in your house too?!

Well several of the apostles began writing about how to live together as believers, and that is what we are going to be looking at for the next two months.

Friendship- treating others that way I would like to be treated.

Each week, we’ll take a look at a “one another” principle that gives us a framework for loving others the way God loved us. To help your kids remember these principles, they will be bringing home a key chain with the weeks bottom line and memory vs attached. Please encourage them to look after these and to learn the weeks verse.

Month’s memory verse: “Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we should also love one another.” 1 John 4:11
