14Jul_standard_BottomLine3Sometimes your friends will get discouraged. Maybe they got sick over the holidays. Maybe they didn’t pass a test, even though they studied really hard. Sometimes your friends may even want to give up.

That’s where you come in! You have something that your friends need, and you may not even know it—HOPE. And it’s an incredible hope that comes from God. It’s the hope that that great, big, powerful God who loves you no matter what, has everything under His control. When we share that hope with others, we can encourage them to keep going even when life is tough.

This week we look at 1 Thessalonians 5:11 where Paul tells the church that they should build each other up in how they speak to one another.

Bottom Line: Friends encourage each other.

Memory verse: “So cheer each other up with the hope you have. Build each other up. In fact, that’s what you are doing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:11, NIrV
